You'd think that after literally growing up together, there'd be nothing left to see, right? After all, it's not like we had anything to hide, not after the countless sleepovers, camp outs, and the communal showers at school. No, nothing left, not really. Except...well except the fact that sometimes your eyes wander, look where they shouldn't. And the fact that what you saw in between stolen glimpses has changed from before...
Changed...Yeah, I'd say changed. Ok, a lot has changed. Damn those shorts. They can't be more than a few inches of tight fabric, snug and wrapped around his hips, outlining him...his body on display, a constant reminder.
Damn him, the cocky bastard. Like he doesn't know that everyone's looking. Pfft, as if he doesn't wear them shorter by the year, you'd think the girls would be used to it by now. I see some of them trying not to be obvious about it, giggling to each other. Those aren't school regulation length, I can tell you that much.
I can't help it, no matter how hard I try. I want to look, and he knows I am. It's easy, too easy to just let my gaze slide over him, greedily take in each inch of exposed skin. A quick look, pretend I wasn't staring again.
That little smirk, the casual way he ignores my eyes burning a hole clean through him. It's harder to concentrate on being pissed off when I can feel his fingers brushing over my ear lobe, a smile crossing my lips before I can stop it.
Damn him...
