List 10 songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now, shaping your summer.
1) Good Mother – Jann Arden
I’ve always loved Jann Arden for many reasons. She’s funny with a wonderfully dry sense of humor, beautiful in her own way and has a voice that goes to your soul. This is by far, one of my favorite songs by her.
2) In Too Deep – Phil Collins
This song was written during the divorce from his wife. He sings of being conflicted over his career, the necessity of his talent and how it distanced him from his wife. I understand how he feels and I’ve been listening to this a little too frequently lately.
3) Monday – Blue Orgy
This is…just so cool, lol. I really love this version. It’s so techno-y. I have
littlewitch34 to thank for letting me know about it.
4) Pretty Handsome Awkward – The Used
This is the break-up bitch song if there ever was one. He sounds so bitter, so angry. If you ever wanted to tell someone off, this is it.
5) Come Together – Joe Cocker
Across the Universe, what a fabulous soundtrack! I simply love Joe Cocker’s version of Come Together.
6) Scully’s Theme – Mark Snow
Mark Snow is a music producer. He’s a genius through and through. Scully’s theme is so haunting, so visually vivid without a spoken word. I still get shivers listening to this tune.
7) I Think We’re Alone Now – Tiffany
There is no excuse; I just love most 80’s music. The beat, it’s so happy, how can you not smile?
8) You Raise Me Up – Josh Groban
Another singer with the ability to send chills down your spine. Stunning, really….
9) Hey Jude – Joe Anderson
And the second entry from Across the Universe. I’m not a huge fan of the Beatles, but I love the covers of these songs.
10) The Right Stuff – New Kids on the Block
Like it was gonna be anything else? Lol…oh oh oh oh oh ….oh oh oh oh
