Bobby heard the squeak of the door and sighed. “Alright, hurry up then,” he muttered. Jack crept across the floor and crawled into the bed, under the warm covers.
“Sorry,” he whispered. Bobby grunted and rolled over, one arm curling around Jack loosely, holding his thin body closer. “Storm wake you?” Bobby yawned.
Jack nodded. “Lightening storm,” he said.
“Can’t hurt ya inside,” Bobby whispered.
Jack ran his long fingers through Bobby’s sleep-messy hair.
“Miss me?” he asked.
“No…”
A moment’s pause. “Liar,” Jack mumbled.
“Fine, I missed you, sleep now,” Bobby said.
Jack smiled then. “Love you too, Bobby.”
