James opened one sleepy eye, the sounds of water trickling near his ear. He held still on the blanket, a wary tenseness in his body. "Iris?" he whispered, flicking his dark hair back from his forehead. "Love?"
He propped himself up on his elbows, the gentle wind blowing, blades of grass swaying near his head. Out of the corner of his eye, James spotted Iris's dress, the fabric carelessly dropped near their blanket, a silky camisole discarded by the large flat rocks not far from him.
"Iris?" James said again, tinges of fear creeping into his voice. "Iris, please, it's not funny."
He yelped a little when he felt a cold, wet hand press against his bare lower back. "Ah! Gods!"
Iris giggled softly and placed his hands on his hips exaggeratedly. "Jamie, you know better than to fall asleep in the sunshine," he said. "You're going to get over heated."
James scowled up at Iris. "You're gettin' our blanket wet," he said.
Iris grinned delightedly and squeezed a section of his long hair over James, the cold water sprinkling over him. James flinched, growling under his breath. "So damn naughty," he said, sitting up and tugging Iris facedown on his lap in two quick movements.
Iris laughed and squirmed on his lap, his pale bottom wriggling in the air. "I just wanted a little swim, Jamie, it's so hot," he tilted his head, pouting back at him.
James ran his roughened palm over Iris's cheeks, stroking the smooth, wet skin. "Y'know better, love," he said. "What if you'd fainted while I was sleepin'?"
Iris felt James's thumb slide between his cheeks. He moaned softly, his thighs spreading. "It was only a few minutes," he said. "A quick dip in the pond is all, I was so terribly hot."
James felt the slick wetness greet his thumb a little further down. "You promised not t' though," he said. "Ye scared me badly, Iris..."
Iris gasped, feeling his thumb slide inside. "Oh...Jamie..." he whispered, his face pink, the water droplets fast drying on his skin.
"Ye promised me before an' you did it again," James said, rubbing his hand lovingly over Iris's warm skin. "What's it gonna take for you to listen?"
Iris lifted his bottom, winking at James. "Maybe a thorough paddling," he grinned.
James chuckled and moved his thumb in and out slowly. "I jus' bet," he said.
"I really am sorry," Iris said demurely, his eyes lowered. "I didn't mean to frighten you..." his words ended on a moan, his hips rocking with the motions of James's thumb.
"I can't lose you," James said, his voice all quiet seriousness. "My Iris, mine."
Iris sat up abruptly and kissed him, his damp lips pressing against James's. He rocked again, his breath coming in short pants. "In me," he whispered between fevered kisses.
James slid his hand over Iris's hip, withdrawing his thumb. Iris kissed his neck, his wet hair dripping onto James, cold splashes that made him groan. James entered Iris, breathing out his name, the hot air surrounding them. Iris moaned and wrapped his arms around James's neck, lifting and dropping with a familiar ease, his body accustomed to James's after their weeks together through the long, hot summer.
James captured Iris's mouth in another heated kiss, his hands lifting Iris, thrusting steadily into him. Iris shivered, the slick slide in and out teasing him, his skin tingling madly. "Jamie..." he moaned, tightening around him.
"Iris..." James cried out, pulling him down onto his lap, harder than before, his breath mere pants that filled the air. He kissed Iris, his release startling him, so sudden and intense. He stiffened and then dropped his head to Iris's shoulder
Iris rocked on his lap, moaning softly when he felt James's release, his own following, dizzying waves that crashed over them, his eyes open, the sunshine pouring over them. James fell back against their blanket, breathing hard. Iris curled up sleepily on his chest, his fingers threading through the grass beside them, James's whispered words of love echoing in his ears.
