*headdesk* Right, so it's got nothing to do with the increased recognition of the disease as a spectral illness, or the fact that it's become more widely publicized and parents are getting more in line with saying, "There's something wrong here. Listen to me, damnit, there's something wrong!" to their gps, or teachers and childcare workers recognizing the symptoms, or people recognizing their own symptoms.

It's not a fad, damnit, it's an illness, or a way of being, or wahtever, but it's very fucking real.
